With Sony having changed their EverQuest and EverQuest 2 MMORPGs into utilising a new micro-transaction payment system, fans of Turbine's MMORPG titles, like Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online, had a reason to be worried when a job listing showed that this company is also very interested in the field.
Their official forums were stirring with rumours and speculation, enough to make a Turbine rep comment on the situation with some slightly revealing news. The micro-transaction manager in question will apparently be needed for the studio's new, unannounced project, which will feature an in-game micro-transaction based store.
We know the recent job listing has caused a bit of a stir, but please be aware that this posting is for an unannounced future project. We appreciate the thoughts and feedback on both sides thus far.
With that settled, now we only have to wonder about what this new project will be, and perhaps for what platform as Tubrine have shown interest for home console development in the past.
