New Patch Fixes iPhone’s I Love Katamari

One week ago, I Love Katamari came out on the iPhone complete with a whole host of control and framerate issues. Well, today they released a patch fixing all of the main complaints people had. (Sorry, guy who wrote the review in all caps, but the game isn’t any less “fruity.”)

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts Large Text Patch is Out

I don’t know why, but a lot of developers are releasing games that have abysmal text sizes on standard def televisions. Playing on an HDTV? No problemo! Playing on an SDTV? Time to break out the ol’ book reading magnifying monocle. The latest (and most prolific) perpetrator of the small text offense was Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts [...]

New Sacred 2 Patch Fixes Some Issues, Adds Holiday Content

Sacred 2 is one of my favorite underappreciated gems this season. (Look for my review of it soon.) Like other recent PC releases, though, the game wasn’t without its share of issues. Thankfully, Ascaron is actually trying to fix all issues and has been working with the community actively in order to do so. Their newest [...]

New TF2 Update Live; Next Class Pack will be Scout

It’s not quite 2009 yet, but Valve is back to updating TF2. (Woo!) In the first post on the TF2 blog since mid-October, Valve’s Robin Walker spills the beans on some new features for the Engineer and Spy, as well as some fixes to the game. Even though it was posted yesterday and claims the [...]

WAR Introducing Statues Honoring Top Players

December is a big month for WAR players. Not only did we finally get KotBS and BGs, but with patch 1.1 we’ll be able to see ourselves worshipped in giant statue form. If we’re good enough, that is. In the still-not-out-but-out-soon 1.1 patch, Mythic is adding afun feature for their top players: statues. Not just any statues, [...]

Knights of the Blazing Sun and The Black Guard Patched Into WAR Today

It’s been a few months, but Knights of the Blazing Sun and Black Guards are finally finding their way into WAR for those who didn't win the elite reward in the Heavy Metal event. Originally cut during beta before the game’s launch due to being too incomplete for the retail release, the two classes will find [...]

JoWood Apologizes Over Forsaken Bugs

The Austrian computer game publisher JoWood Productions, notorious for the poor support of their titles, recently surprised fans of their most famous franchise, Gothic. A PR statement was issued, in which they actually acknowledged -- after many German reviews showed the disaster -- and even apologised for the bad state of the latest Gothic 3 [...]

Long-Awaited Castle Crashers Patch “Finished Soon”

Remember Castle Crashers? Yeah, I had one of those “Oh yeah! That game!” moments, too. Months ago, its developers spoke with several people about the buggy, game-breaking glitches present in the retail release, such as game save losses and connectivity issues. Their response? A much-needed patch was nearly done, and just had to pass Microsoft [...]

Gears of War 2 Thanksgiving Update Fixes Matchmaking Issues

It seems that not everyone checked out early for Thanksgiving. Very early this morning, Epic Games released an update for Gears of War 2 to deal with the current matchmaking issues. According to Epic’s Rod Furgesson, “In order to get the update out as quickly as possible, we focused just on immediate infrastructure issues and [...]
