Though Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying Harmonix and MTV Games' ubiquitous music title since mid-September, the timed exclusivity of Rock Band 2 is just about to expire. MTV and Harmonix issued a press release this morning, confirming to eager PS3 owners that their shredding sequel is still on track for its October 19th release [...]

Remember how excited we all got when MTV Games and Harmonix announced that the new Rock Band website would be going live in a week? The promise of real-life merchandise, featuring your very own band members, was a feature we'd been looking forward to since our E3 preview. Of course, the promised week went by [...]

We've been a little rough on the upcoming release of AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack, a physical disc which will contain 18 tracks from AC/DC for standalone play and/or export into the main Rock Band game. As excited as we are to play more AC/DC in our rock simulators, we've taken issue with a [...]

Yesterday, when we had a few dubious words to say about the upcoming AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band Track Pack from Harmonix and MTV Games, a fair portion of our assessment was based on conjecture. We made a few guesses about the game's functionality and feature list, so we couldn't deliver a concrete judgement at the [...]

When we previewed Rock Band 2 back at E3, we were particularly excited by some of the game's new obsessive social features. As we documented in our photos, Harmonix promised players the ability to create posters, T-shirts, buttons, and even figurines of their band, for proud display in one's home or other... place of displaying [...]

Don't have Rock Band 2 yet? Check out our review to understand why that's a mistake. Still, whether you've made the switch to 2 or you're still playing the original Rock Band, Harmonix and MTV Games have a new DLC pack for you this week, which will work with either game. Metal magnates Megadeth are [...]

GameCyte got the band back together for our review of Rock Band 2 from Harmonix and MTV Games. We checked out the new songs, played a couple of battles, and checked out as many new features as we could count, and slowly realized: We're more or less playing an enhanced version of Rock Band 1. But that's all right with us -- We love Rock Band 1.
