Take-Two CEO Floats Grand Theft Auto Delays

Last Tuesday, Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser wasn't sure. But today, it seems pretty likely that November will mark the latest in the long series of delays that have plagued the $50 million Grand Theft Auto IV DLC. At the BMO Capital Markets conference today in New York City, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told attendees not [...]

Update: ‘There Will Be No Quality Difference’ Between Japan and US Sonic Unleashed

Yesterday, in reporting that Sega's Sonic Unleashed has been delayed until Spring 2009 in Japan for quality reasons, we commented that Sega of America would have to make one of two very difficult choices: either delay the game here as well, or explain to dedicated US fans why we would be getting the inferior game. Today, [...]

Prince of Persia PC Gets Steep System Requirements, Week-Long Delay

As seems to be the trend for modern "simultaneous multiplatform release," particularly those designed by Ubisoft, the PC version of Prince of Persia is getting the short end of the stick -- but fear not, as Blue's News is reporting that you'll only have to wait one additional week to break out your mouse and [...]

Update: LittleBigPlanet Only Delayed a Week or So

Wow, that was fast. In response to the religious content-based delay of LittleBigPlanet, Sony has issued their recall, but has also issued a statement on the official PlayStation.Blog. Seems like Sony's working nice and quick to print out those new copies and get them back into stores: "We will begin shipping LittleBigPlanet to retail in [...]

LittleBigPlanet Faces Worldwide Delay, Recall from Retailers

I'm actually stunned. Of all the things one hopes will never afflict a game -- unforeseen bugs, broken online functions, short launch supplies -- I don't think anybody could have seen this coming. LittleBigPlanet, Sony's user-content playground, the game that's expected to be one of the hot PS3 exclusives the company needs, the game everybody [...]

Left 4 Dead is Left 4 a Little Longer

Valve, delaying a game? Say it ain't so. Unfortunately, it is so, as Valve has announced today that Left 4 Dead, their co-op zombie-blasting survival shooter, will be releasing a few weeks later than anticipated. The new release date is set for November 20th, 2008, landing on the 10th anniversary of Half-Life, the game that [...]
