In an interview with IGN Australia, Dead Space executive producer Glen Schofield has confirmed that the title has been banned in Japan, and hints at difficulties in Germany and Korea as well. The Australian version will arrive uncut.

Though Dead Space will arrive earlier in the United States than originally anticipated (October 14th for consoles, 20th for PC), other countries may not be receiving the game at all. According to the game’s community managers, Dead Space has been banned in Germany, China and Japan.
