Harmonix knew we needed a little cheering up after yesterday’s news that Rush’s “Moving Pictures” wouldn’t be out this week after all, so they’ve gone ahead and announced all six of the full albums they promised to confirm this month. Spotted over at Kotaku, MTV Games spilled the news to Entertainment Weekly in a large announcement accompanied by a new trailer of Rock Band 2’s opening cutscene.
Those six albums, for the instantly curious, are:
- Foo Fighters / The Colour and the Shape
- Jane’s Addiction / Nothing’s Shocking
- Megadeth / Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying
- No Doubt / (Special Rock Band “Best Of” Collection)
- Red Hot Chili Peppers / Blood Sugar Sex Magik
- Stevie Ray Vaughn / Texas Flood
Kick ass. Hit the jump for a look at EW’s video of the new Rock Band 2 opening, featuring an emphasis on the new “battle of the bands” mode.
I know this is just symbolic and everything, but someone needs to make that game. A driving/melee combat/8 player PvP/rhythm game? Yes.
