Reset Generation Tournament: Round Two

Tue, Aug 12, 2008

News

The Reset Generation Invitational, hosted by Nokia, is about to enter the next round of eliminations, and we at GameCyte have been rescuing like crazy in anticipation. Seriously, we rescued, like, six people yesterday, and they didn’t even need it. We know you’ve been cheering us on, so keep your fingers crossed as we prepare for round two, scheduled to happen later today! You can keep on top of the tournament here, and re-live the glory/blind luck of all the contestants’ triumphs thus far. Stay tuned to this post for the result of today’s retro rescues, and remember — you can always play Reset Generation for free, right here at GameCyte.

Today’s opponent: Brandon Boyer, formerly of Gamasutra and Edge Magazine. Brandon only recently departed Gamasutra, and we wish him only the very best of luck in his future career, but we’d like to remind him that he already has a Webby award, so we don’t see why he needs all those princesses. You don’t mind if we rescue those, do you, Brandon?

UPDATE: GameCyte has triumphed again! Mr. Boyer fought valiantly, but GameCyte has claimed a 2-1 victory and advanced to Round Three. You can relive our glory (and momentary defeat) here, and look for the next round soon. Thanks for playing, Brandon!
