When the ESRB leaked a PSN release of Street Fighter Alpha 3 just a couple weeks ago, NeoGAFers wondered why Sony might be skipping entry number two. Well, perhaps they aren’t — Today, ESRB ratings reveal that Street Fighter Alpha 2 is also slated for release on the PSP and PS3 platforms.
However, there’s no telling when either will arrive. When the first Alpha hit PSN this August, GameSpot noted that the ESRB reveal came in January, seven months earlier.
According to Wikipedia, Street Fighter Alpha 2 was the first appearance of Sakura, the sailor-suit wearing Japanese schoolgirl who has also just been confirmed playable in the console version of Street Fighter IV.

Hm. Wonder if it’s redone ports a la SF2: Hyper Fighting on XBLA, or if it’s just be the PS1 version like the PSN version of SFA.
