Since October 15th, Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia developer blog has featured a post entitled “How To Make a Trailer in Seven Easy Steps.” The post’s existence implies two things: One, that the Prince of Persia developers have a degree of experience making particularly awesome trailers, and two, that with the proper instruction, anyone else can do the same.
After watching the above video, I think it’s safe to say that while I am now utterly convinced of the former statement, the latter is most assuredly out of the question. I’ve saved the world in games so many times now I can’t keep count, but when Elika called on me to do so once more, I felt like jumping into the screen.
Yes, I’m a diehard Prince of Persia fan. But if the same skill Ubisoft Montreal puts into these trailers makes it into the final product, this game is going to be epic.
