Spotted over at IGN this morning, Microsoft and Rare have announced a couple of new incentives to buy Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts that ought to push unsure gamers right off the fence. First of all, Microsoft has set the game’s suggested retail price at $39.99. That’s a fine suggestion, Microsoft; please don’t be afraid to bring ideas like that to the table. We’re always open to suggestions like that one. Secondly, we already knew that the original Banjo-Kazooie — the N64 platformer — was coming to Xbox Live Arcade this fall. However, we didn’t know it’d be free if you pre-ordered BK:NB through certain retailers (to be specified later), you’d get the XBLA title for free. Oh, and you’ll be able to download and play it two weeks early. Given how many of us nostalgia-crazed retro gamers were going to pick up BK again anyway, I fail to see a downside to this deal.
The pre-order deal begins today. Be on the lookout for a list of retailers and more details at the game’s Xbox website, here.
