Sometimes, the best news comes in the most unexpected forms. In the case of PixelJunk Eden, that form happened to be a response to a fan comment on the official PlayStation blog by Q-Games president and executive producer, Dylan Cuthbert.
Posting on one of Sony’s many holiday-related entries, user C-h-a-o-s happened to mention the issue many had with Eden: it got too hard. Cuthbert responded:
With Eden the trick is not to panic, just take it steadily and relax. Also, don’t get all the Spectra in one garden before moving on, spread your play a bit - that’s how its intended to be played.
Around the second week or so of January there will be a patch which makes (among other things) the large crystals replenish a whole half of your oscillator meter instead of a third.
That should help you with garden 7.
So there you have it. At some point in the second week or so of January, Eden will be getting a patch that will make large crystals replenish more, thereby making the game easier at later levels, and will also add/change “other things.” Hopefully in the next few days Cuthbert or Sony will let us know what, exactly, those “other things” may be.
