In my last post, I mentioned how one of the most entertaining aspects of any Wii game is watching someone else play it. The bobbing, the weaving, the self-injury, the “srs bsns” faces; under the right conditions, it is incredibly entertaining to see someone attempt to interact with something that simply does not exist in the real world. Little did I know that there exists a VAST selection of Flickr pools dedicated to the documentation of this special sort of voyeurism. I present to you just a few links to and highlights from the myriad gaming-related Flickr pools. [Sorry, no Wii Fit Girl. If you're looking for something sexier, I'm sure there's a Flickr pool for that, too.]
Video Game Life is a catchall pool with one rule: “THIS GROUP IS ABOUT PEOPLE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES ONLY.” Besides the pictures, this group currently has a discussion thread going for the Best Games to Watch Being Played. A highlight from the pool:
If rhythm games are what you’re all about, there are dedicated pools for you. There’s The Rockband (the game) Pool & The Guitar Hero Pool. A highlight from the latter:
And, finally, a pool for the console that inspired this post: the Wii Motion Pool. This pool appears to have fairly active discussion threads, including one for exchanging Wii Friend Codes. A highlight:
There are, of course, many more pools out there and there’s sure to be one to cater to your tastes. Good times to be had by all.

God bless the internet. Without these I would have had to only laugh at the funny things people I know did.

@Scott haha! Yeah… there are even more insane pools on flickr, but they were a little nsfw. I can email you some CRZY links if you like!

Maybe I’m just a pedant, but it kinda drives me crazy that they’re not actually playing the game in that first picture.
Also, I really like their white entertainment center, and I want one.

@Zak you see that it’s just one guy, though, right? it’s an image manipulation? are we fighting?
you should send the image into Apartment Therapy and I bet they can identify it for you!

Ha! I hadn’t noticed. Ok, I take it back, and will not attempt to get him kicked out of the Flickr pool with my far-reaching influence.
We can still fight though, if you want.
