Paul Oakenfeld/Bourne Conspiracy Concert Streaming at Yahoo

News

At the intersection of gaming, music, and above all marketing, is Sierra Entertainment’s promotional Paul Oakenfold concert “The Bourne Sessions.” Originally performed in an exclusive Miami club to promote The Bourne Conspiracy at the Winter Music Conference, the first part of the 80-minute session is now available free of charge at Yahoo Music — and it’s actually pretty ‘chill,’ at least from where I’m sitting.

If you’re looking for the full concert experience, the video does a fairly good job, showing off equal parts turntable skill and audience reactions…

…but gamers like myself will likely gravitate towards the music video, which splices gratiutious amounts of game CG footage with Paul Oakenfold and Cee Lo’s brand new track “Falling.”

And if you like the song, feel free to grab a copy while you’re there — they’re giving away the MP3.

Maybe Julie Shumaker was onto something; that whole “currency of advertising” seems mighty tempting when you provide freebies like these.

The Bourne Conspiracy hits stores June 3rd.
