Normally I would avoid all things VGA related, and do my damndest to not even think about Spike’s award show. This year, though, I’m actually contemplating watching it. Why? Two reasons: Jack Black is hosting, and a slew of games are revealing their trailers during the monstrosity program.
We already knew Uncharted 2 would make its “world premiere” on Spike’s big screen, but there are also 10 others debuting December 14th:
Fight Night Round 4
Brutal Legend
God of War III
Terminator Salvation
Watchmen: The End’s Nigh
Mafia II
And three still-surprise games.
Oh, and a first-look at some new Gears of War 2 content. My guess is it’s going to be a minor patch or addition to multiplayer which CliffyB will rave about for at least 15 minutes while jumping around the stage. Here’s hoping I’m wrong.
And remember, if you want to see the content but don’t want to watch the VGAs, you can always catch the trailers online after the show is over. You just won’t see them when everyone else is.
