There are always a number of DS demos available on the Wii’s Nintendo Channel, but usually they’re from games that have already been released, or that I have no interest in. Often both. Today, for what I believe is the first time since the service launched in the United States, there is a demo that is neither: that of Southpeak Interactive’s Ninjatown, a cutesy, portable variant on the new tower defense genre with an amusing story to boot.
It’s a pretty hefty demo too, consisting of the full first sixth of the game — plenty of time to decide whether or not the full game is worth your purchase when it hits retail next week. Personally, I enjoyed it, but found the levels a tad easy — here’s hoping the full game has adjustable difficulty.

My poor Wii hasn’t been turned on in about three months, the amount of time it takes to get the disappointing taste of FFF: Chocobo’s Dungeon out of your mouth. But it is definitely getting a whirl for this. Thanks for the heads up to those of us who need an exterior push to return to our deflated Wiis.
…even beyond the “Wii”-joke mentality, that reply reeks of sexual pun.
