NaturalMotion, the tech developers behind GTA IV and Force Unleashed’s prominently-featured procedural animation engine “euphoria,” just released a brand-new, kickass trailer for their upcoming football game Backbreaker.
I’m not even a football fan, but the graceful simplicity and brutal, eminently satisfying tackles shown off in these Backbreaker trailers make me giddy with anticipation. Here’s hoping the game’s rumble packs as big a punch as its realistic character animation.
According to the media advisory, what we’re seeing here is just a mini-game called “Tackle Alley;” but if it’s anything like Burnout’s spectacular Crash Mode, I’ll be playing this one for hours on end.
