In that great, yet ultimately pointless internet popularity game the Time 100, gaming’s very own Shigeru Miyamoto is currently in second place, right between political comics Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, respectively at first and third.
But why is Miyamoto second? Gamers are supposed to be the button-pushing champs, and with all the additional grandmas and soccer moms the Wii is supposedly converting, Mario’s daddy should be a shoe-in.
We probably don’t even need to ask, fine GameCyte readers, but we’ll do it anyhow. Vote for gaming!
If Miyamoto wins, I promise I’ll never write a headline like that again. Honest.
And if that isn’t reward enough, there’s always your mortal soul to consider…
Now vote. Vote, I tell you. Vote or die.
