Last week, I told you that Microsoft’s new 360 unit, the Jasper, was being released into retail. The new model included several internal changes which would (hopefully) eliminate the RRoD issue once and for all (just in time for people with expired launch warranties), and also came with 256MB of internal memory for the NXE update.
Talking to GameSpot, though, Microsoft has revealed that the internal memory update is meant for Arcade units specifically. "We are constantly updating the console's more than 1700 internal components," the publisher said in a statement provided to GameSpot. "We can confirm that we are moving to internal memory for the Xbox 360 Arcade. The physical internal memory is the same size as the previous external memory units--256MB."
Unfortunately, the new internal memory comes at a price: the removal of the previously free memory card. So while you’ll be able to install NXE straight to the console, you’ll have to buy a harddrive or memory card in order to, you know, save profiles or games. But hey, at least Microsoft is constantly updating the more than 1700 internal components!

Where does it say that you wont be able to save any games to the internal memory?

From what I've seen it comes installed with NXE on the flash memory. So I suppose you can uninstall that and save older games, but newer ones are supposed to be coming out with NXE installs on the disc as mandatory updates.
