During the "Mobile Gaming Experience" panel at this year's CES, Sega already let it be known that an emulated version of Sonic the Hedgehog would be coming to the iPhone. So, if Sonic was being run via emulation… Will other Sega games make the jump to Apple’s mobile platforms? Sean caught up with Sega's Director of Production, Paxton Lazar, to get an answer.
“Not only can we put them on iPhones, we can put them on Android phones, we can put them on Windows Mobile phones, we can put them on—as they become better—the Blackberry devices as well,” Paxton said. “We can put them anywhere.”
So it’s possible, huh? Sean got right to the point, asking Paxton what everyone would have wanted to know: will we actually see some sort of “Sega Virtual Console” of Sega games releasing for mobile platforms? “I would say yes," he replied. "Absolutely, Sean.”
