Hopefully the crashes are just the car kind. EA has announced that Burnout Paradise, the re-imagined open-world entry in the Burnout franchise, will be appearing on PC. The announcement says the game is being “rebuilt specifically for the PC,” with expanded multiplayer and community-driven content.
I had a tough time getting into Burnout Paradise as a longtime player of its predecessors, but most people seemed to like it well enough. The folks over at Criterion Games are awfully excited about the PC version, and have posted a few screenshots on Flickr. There’s also footage of the game running on laptop and desktop PCs to give an idea of how it ought to look (if you have a PC as nice as Criterion’s).
More info is coming from Criterion and EA soon.
