Eurogamer just noticed today that DICE has begun accepting applications for the Battlefield Heroes closed beta test. It’s not quite as easy as joining the real U.S. Army — no promises to pay your college tuition here, only a form to fill out and a forum to greet you afterwards — but to the lucky few, it might mean advance access to a very promising experiment in free-to-play, ad-supported gaming. Not to mention a whole lot of blowing $#!^ up.
