One week ago, I Love Katamari came out on the iPhone complete with a whole host of control and framerate issues. Well, today they released a patch fixing all of the main complaints people had. (Sorry, guy who wrote the review in all caps, but the game isn’t any less “fruity.”)
The new patch adds a tilt sensor to the game screen, making it much easier to control. In addition, somehow the framerate issues and screen lag were, according to all reports from players, completely fixed. The game will still get choppy as your ball grows, but actual gameplay no longer causes the screen to lag to a game-ruining degree.
See, Namco Bandai, you shouldn’t have rushed the game to release in time for the holidays. If you just waited one more week you could have released a fully working, fun product rather than one that pissed off the longtime Katamari faithful!
Thanks to Michael and Corey for the tip!
