The December Warhammer Online newsletter alerts players to quite a few of the game’s changes this month—new patches, the new classes, the holiday event, etc. One thing that seems to be passed over (at least by every WAR player I know) is the addition of a recruit-a-friend system.
If you have an active WAR account, you can now head to your account page at EA Mythic’s website, and offer several friends a 7 day chance at trying WAR. Should any of those friends decide they like the game enough to purchase, you’ll be rewarded with 30 days of playtime for each person you recruited. When a WAR subscription is begun, players can have three active recruitments going at any time. As your account remains active, though, every month you'll be able to recruit one more friend, until you reach six total. If any GameCyte readers want to give WAR a shot, just shoot me an email and I'll hook you up with a trial. (First come, first serve.)
As someone with characters on one of the lower populated serves, I implore people to invite whatever friends they think may be interested to the trial. I’d really like to have scenarios pop outside of peak hours…
