If you've never heard of Kingsisle Entertainment, that's probably because the isle has been underwater for the past three years, only surfacing today to let Gamasutra know that several prominent industry veterans are helping them build some mystery MMOs.
About the games themselves, we know very little:
The MMO project currently helmed by Coleman is expected to go into beta this spring. KingsIsle offered no further details on the title or nature of the MMO. The same goes for a separate MMO project led by Hall, apart from saying the game would be "announced at a later date."
But the team does have some reputable talent:
Kingisle's President and COO, David Nichols, served at Midway as Senior Vice President of Administration and Operations; Directors Todd Coleman and Josef Hall were involved with the MMO Shadowbane while at Wolfpack; and last but certainly not least, Creative Director Tom Hall co-founded id Software and Ion Storm and designed the famous Commander Keen.
Next Generation notes that the company is currently looking for a "web Java programmer with a background in Flash, Shockwave and 'multi-player web-based game development and delivery,'" indicating that one or more of the new MMOs are likely web-based.
