There won’t be any review controversy with Ubisoft’s latest title, Prince of Persia. Unlike Assassin’s Creed, the company seems pleased with the way the reviews are turning out. Posting on his blog, Ubisoft producer Ben Mattes wrote, “I'm glad most of the big reviews are out of the way and plenty happy with the ~85 we META-ed at.”
That doesn’t mean he’ll now ride off into the sunset and ignore all coverage PoP, though. “Now the real interesting part starts - the debates. I've read some very thoughtful arguments for and against the 'accessibility' of the game … I'm still enjoying the sun in Florida on vacation but when I'm back in Montreal I expect I'll be drawn to some of the POP discussion and offering my own thoughts on the matter.”
So watch out, gaming blogs and websites that diss PoP for being too easy, or not like the other PoPs, or whatever; Ben’s coming for you. You’ll know it’s him because he’ll be the only super tan guy in Montreal during the middle of winter.
