Well, Capcom have done it again. I honestly wasn't too impressed with what I had seen of Resident Evil 5 so far, what with it being so similar to Resident Evil 4 -- while lacking the Wii's excellent controls -- but the latest trailer does make me want to see more of it.
Watching it, we see a short introduction of the two main characters, then get an overall idea of how and why they got there, and witness several spectacular action sequences, which also hint at the plot's connection with past titles. Moreover, we also get a glimpse of some seemingly emotional scenes, where the acting and mood are much better than the usual series' standards. It almost makes us want to care for the characters, so that's hopefully carried over to the full game.
It's certainly been a while since that happened with Capcom's games. The last time I remember caring about a character, was with the Dreamcast's Code Veronica. Yet, as awesome as Claire was in the introductory parts, the mood was soon lost thanks to the cheesy acting, lame characters, and the many missed opportunities they had to make the characters appear more human.
Anyway, it's pretty much certain this is one title worth waiting for regardless of your system of choice. I guess I'll have to somehow get my hands on one of these consoles, since a PC release has yet to be confirmed even with Capcom's recent love for multi-platform releases.
