Oh, happy day! Not only did I win several of my eBay auctions and finally find my missing HDMI cable, but Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer has broken the company’s silence over their upcoming mega hit, Uncharted 2. (Which, as he points out, will be subtitled "Among Thieves.")
For starters, you can catch an early glimpse of the game on Spike TV’s VGA promo over at GameTrailers. The 30 second clip features a frostbitten Mr. Drake trudging through a frozen tundra in order to grab what appears to be a ceremonial dagger of some sort. “What do they say? Fortune favors the bold?” he asks in a tired voiceover. “Right. Lucky me.”
While the first look at the game already got me all giggly like 32-year-old American Idol winner Taylor Hicks at a Jonas Brothers concert, the biggest news comes at the end of the teaser: the first official trailer will be shown December 14, during the VGAs. At about the same time, the January edition of Game Informer will also hit stands with Uncharted 2 as the cover story. So in about two weeks, be prepared for a ton of new info on Nathan’s upcoming adventure. In the meantime, I’m going to watch the teaser like, eleventy million more times.
