We feel bad for Neversoft's Brian Bright, project director on Guitar Hero World Tour. After becoming lightly intoxicated at the game's release party, he bumped into Joystiq and -- while valiantly trying to protect the secret of Neversoft's own next music game -- inadvertently let slip that parent company Activision is making DJ Hero instead.
Didn't you say you're already working on another music game?
Activision's doing a DJ Hero game, and I can't comment on what we're doing. But... we're working on the future and next gen. If I wasn't excited about it I wouldn't be there.
What do you know -- alcohol really does affect your judgment.
Plenty of anonymous sources had confirmed the game's existence since Activision filed the trademark in February, but we doubt Brian went to his own launch party with the intent to legitimize the rumor. Hopefully all will be forgiven by the Activision higher-ups... We'd hate to have to find a new target to ply with our own booze.
Thanks to GameSpot for the find.
