Next Generation noted today that Capcom has revealed the life-to-date sales for all their major franchises and best-selling platinum titles, as part of their annual report.

The Resident Evil series is on top, with sales of 34.5 million across its fifty titles, of which the PlayStation's Resident Evil 2 contributed nearly 5 million. Mega Man and Street Fighter came in second and third respectively. Out of Capcom's 46 million sellers, the original Street Fighter II for SNES is king of the hill, selling 6.3 million -- and combined with its Turbo, Super and Plus variants the game clocks in at over 14 million.
