"Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen," the rare, tactical RPG said to have sold only 25,000 copies for the Super Nintendo, has today arrived on the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console service for 800 Wii Points, or $8.
Originally published by Enix, "March of the Black Queen" was re-released for the Sony PlayStation by Atlus in 1997, but the new "Ogre Battle: Limited Edition" still failed to bring a significant number of games to market. Whether SNES cartridge or PSX disc, used copies still regularly fetch over $50 on eBay.
The game follows a series of rebels who attempt to overthrow the evil Zeteginan Empire; players control armies of characters as they work their way towards one of the game's 14 different endings.
