GameFly Announces Q Award Winners

Leading online video game rental service GameFly announced the winners of its sixth annual Q Awards. Named for the GameQ™, through which GameFly subscribers list and manage their rental wish lists, the Q Awards recognizes the top games of the year.

GameFly users submitted over 100,000 votes for the best titles of 2008. Top honors went to Bethesda's "Fallout 3," winner of both Game of the Year and Xbox 360 Game of the Year. Other winners included:

  • PlayStation 3 Game Of The Year - Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (Konami)
  • PlayStation 2 Game Of The Year - Kingdom Hearts: Re-Chain of Memories (Square-Enix)
  • PSP Game Of The Year - God of War: Chains of Olympus (Sony Computer Entertainment)
  • Wii Game Of The Year - Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo)
  • Nintendo DS Game Of The Year - Final Fantasy IV (Square-Enix)

    I have no idea how a gba port beat out Persona 4 for PS2 game of the year. Ridiculous.

    @Scott... I really don't think Persona 4 got a lot of action outside people who read all the games blogs, etc.... just a guesss, though.
