Valve Corporation announced today that the next update for popular online shooter "Team Fortress 2," including new weapons and achievements for the Scout class, will be available on Steam this Feb. 24. New details will be revealed about each weekday at teamfortress.com.
Since TF2's inception, The Scout has carried a mean aluminum fish club; today, Valve introduces "The Sandman," a hefty wooden baseball bat designed to knock some sense out of your enemies, including invulnerable ones, from long range.
The farther from an foe you are, the longer you'll knock them out cold with the included baseball, leaving them susceptible to followup damage. It's not clear whether or not you'll actually have to hit enemies in the head, but there is one definite penalty for carrying the weapon: no double-jump.
