Following some confusion over last week's press release, DICE designer Gustav Halling confirmed in a post to his blog that "Battlefied 1943" will be released as a "download-only" game over the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network and as yet undisclosed digital distribution services for PCs.
Set during WWII, "Battlefied 1943" will offer "endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations." Look for the game on a PC or console near you sometime this summer.

This could be fun. Not usually a huge multiplayer only gamer though.
