Eight months after the son of "Godfather" author Mario Puzo slapped Paramount Pictures with a one million-dollar-lawsuit, their claims to royalties from EA's "The Godfather" video game have come to an amicable end.

Today, NBC Los Angeles reports that Paramount and Anthony Puzo have tentatively settled the suit. There were no details about the specifics of the agreement, but a lawyer for Puzo seemed pleased:

"We think it's a terrific settlement," said the Puzo estate's attorney, Bert Fields. "This involved one of the most admired films of all time."

No word on whether any severed horse heads were required to stimulate the Puzo estate's complicity.

Electronic Arts will release "The Godfather II" this Feb. 24 in North America, and Feb. 27 in Europe on April 7th in North America.
