Atlus Brings Another SRPG to 360, Now With Giant Freaking Robots

News

Atlus has just announced that they are releasing Zoids Assault on the Xbox 360, a new strategy-RPG based on Tomy's line of animal-shaped giant robots. Between Nazi werewolves, medieval demons, and now huge metal tigers, Atlus pretty much has the SRPG spectrum covered at this point.

Atlus writes the following about Zoids Assault:

Beasts of Steel. Diverse battlegrounds. An intense covert military campaign in the middle of a tense cold war.  Advanced tactics including support fire and electromagnetic pulse systems. Tons of customization and upgrade options, including melee weapons, rockets, rifles, machine guns, shotguns, cannons, and more.

Sounds about par for the course as SRPGs are concerned. If it can keep from getting repetitive, and the giant goddamned robots explode real good, I'm sure Atlus will maintain its track record of deceptively awesome games that are impossible to buy two weeks after release.

Zoids Assault is scheduled for release on August 26th.
