Ruffian Games has sent out a press release revealing a few things about its structure, as Gaz Liddon is now the team's head while Billy Thomson has been appointed as the creative director.
The studio is currently working on a project for a "major international publisher" but no further details have been disclosed. It's worth noting that the staff has previously worked on games like "Crackdown", "Fable 2", "Project Gotham Racing" and other triple-A projects since many of them were previously with Climax, DMA Design and RealTime Worlds.
"Creative and talented people are the lifeblood of any studio and I am so excited to be working with the best the industry has to offer" said Liddon. "It simply isn't possible for any studio to have a better start than this."
Billy Thomson stated that "online play is the future of gaming and we're incredibly excited about where that is going to take us" which probably says a lot about the current project's direction, yet clearly not enough as it could be anything from a MMORPG to an online-focused FPS. We'll just have to wait and see like everyone else.
