Marvelous Entertainment and Natsume have announced "Fish Eyes" for the Wii. The series is known as "Reel Fishing" in the West, and often employs real video sequences, in conjunction with 3D visuals, to realistically portray the activity.
The Wii version seems to follow that practice as the official website already offers some beautiful screenshots, but only experiencing the final product will show its true colors. After all, that beauty is owed to the real locations more than to the game's developers.
Being one of the many who enjoyed the Wii version of "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" and therefor experienced the fun of the fishing mini-game, I can see the potential for appeal a game like this holds. Only time will tell if "Fish Eyes" can fulfill it.
