Now, while you're not obligated to eat anything from McDonald's and get your Fender all greasy, the fast-food folks are the ones making it possible for you to buy some Rock Band DLC on the cheap this month. McDonald's, Harmonix, and MTV Games are collaborating to put eight songs from the existing Rock Band DLC library on sale, with two songs costing just 80 Microsoft Points (a buck) each, each week.

That first pair, you'll note, goes on sale today. I'm less enthusiastic about this news than I could be, admittedly -- my Rock Band foursome has already sprung for nearly the entire list. Still, it will give us the opportunity to play some Skynyrd, man.
