When Microsoft president of Entertainment & Devices Robbie Bach first stepped onto the stage at CES 2009, we figured we'd be treated to a sizzling first look at a hot new game. Not so: he just gave us a bunch of numbers. You can find them after the jump.

  • Microsoft has sold 28 million Xbox 360 consoles.
  • There are 17 million registered Xbox LIVE members worldwide -- up 3 million since October.
  • The average Halo player spends 150 hours fragging fools over Xbox LIVE.
  • In its first five years, there have been 10 billion hours of gameplay and social interaction performed via the service.
  • Xbox LIVE downloads have increased 60% since the New Xbox Experience launch.
  • Users have added 33% more friends since the introduction of Avatars in the New Xbox Experience.
  • This Spring, the first event in Microsoft's Xbox LIVE PrimeTime series of interactive social games will be the quiz show title "1 vs 100."
  • Over 12,000 TV shows and movies will be available to stream over Netflix.
  • Between "Lips," "Rock Band" and "Guitar Hero," Xbox LIVE has hosted 60 million music track downloads, which account for 80% of all song downloads on all gaming platforms.

  • 12-year old girls will school you after making and distributing their own games with the Kodu Game Creator, a program for the XBL Community Games chanel that uses radial dials to allow kids to create simple, trigger-based programs ("after ten seconds, open the door,") later this year.
