After the record entries of this year's Independent Games Festival, the finalists which will be displayed during the next Game Developers Conference and compete for the almost $50,000 USD worth of awards, including $20,000 USD in cash, have been announced.
Additionally, Direct2Drive is now another sponsor for the ever-growing event, and offers a new unspecified award for the winners, as well as a dedicated, IGF-supported indie games area, which includes many independently developed games, some of which are past IGF finalists or winners.
