Christmas music never fails to excite anyone, right? Oh, I'm just messing with you, but trust me on this. Doctor Octoroc's new renditions might still be the cheery tunes you're sick of listening to every holiday season, but they're actually enjoyable beyond belief, especially for those who have been into gaming for over a decade. The full title should give you an extra hint, if you aren't sure about it.
Just in time for Christmas, it’s the full version of 8-Bit Jesus: Classic Christmas Songs in the Style of Classic NES Games. This full release contains 18 tracks total, including improved variations of a few of the original nine! Please be sure to check out the new amazing cover art for the full release, designed by Jude Buffum.
The catch? There's no catch actually, it's all available for FREE download! Doctor Octoroc even takes his holiday spirit one step further and offers the following to anyone willing to return the favor.
Anyone who donates $15 or more will receive a physical copy of 8-Bit Jesus in the mail (see picture above for package, designed by Jude Buffum). If you donate $30, you will receive two, and so on. These include first class shipping, so don’t worry about that. If you live outside the U.S., please be prepared to wait a few weeks from the shipping date to receive your copy. I will be mailing these out in the order I receive the donations, but obviously, International shipping takes longer.
I love it all, right down to the new titles of the songs, which clearly show their inspirational influence. Carol of the Belmonts and The Legend of Noel? Me and my money are so there Doc Oc!

The album "G.M.O. Christmas Songs" did this in 1987.
