Valve, delaying a game? Say it ain’t so. Unfortunately, it is so, as Valve has announced today that Left 4 Dead, their co-op zombie-blasting survival shooter, will be releasing a few weeks later than anticipated. The new release date is set for November 20th, 2008, landing on the 10th anniversary of Half-Life, the game that put Valve on the map. Gabe Newell delivered the news to Gamekings (spotted via IGN) in an interview at last week’s Games Convention.
This might seem like a minor delay, especially relative to Valve’s usual delays, but believe me, even a few extra weeks to wait is a tragedy. Based on what we experienced of Left 4 Dead back at E3, trust us — you need to be playing this game as soon as possible. Also, maybe the zombies will get sandwiches 10 months after release.
