Spotted over at ActionTrip, Steam is adding several new games from Ubisoft to its digital distribution library. The games are available to buy and play now for under $20 each, with one exception: Beyond Good & Evil is available for ten bucks.
Let me explain this to you: This is a really good game, and one that tragically did not sell well in its original run. It has an engaging story, an intriguing world, and it’s big on character. The gameplay might, admittedly, work better on a console, but mouse & keyboard by no means ruin it, and last I checked, you could get a game controller for your PC anyway.
Remember when Family Guy and Futurama got cancelled? And everyone bought the hell out of them on DVD and watched them in syndication, and Fox said, “Damn, we need to start making those again.” Rumors of another installment of Beyond Good & Evil have been floating around for a while now. You can help make it happen. Even if it doesn’t, you’ll be playing an awesome game. Go get it on Steam right now. Don’t like Steam? Get GameTap, it’s there too.
Oh, right, Steam had some other new games too, I think. Here’s the full list of Ubisoft additions:
- Heroes of Might & Magic V
- Pacific Fighters
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Lockdown
- Beyond Good & Evil
- Cold Fear
- Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII
- Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition
- Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII
- Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
Enjoy!
