PlayStation.Blog has delivered the latest intelligence: Secret Agent Clank has a release date. The PSP platformer, starring the inorganic half of the Ratchet & Clank duo, will be not-so-stealthily shipping to stores on June 17th, 2008.
This game marks the second outing on Sony’s handheld platform for the pair. No word yet as to whether the game will eventually see a PS2 port, as Size Matters did, but for the moment, Secret Agent Clank will be working his tiny magic on the small screen, promising a broad mix of gameplay — stealth and gadgetry, action sequences, puzzle-solving, etc. Ratchet will make playable appearances, carrying his signature outlandish weaponry, and Captain Qwark will be along for the ride as well.
The previews thus far are quite promising, which pleases me, as a longtime R&C fan. I know Clank is going all stealthy on us this time around, but if someone in this game doesn’t get a new iteration of the RYNO, I will be very disappointed.
