Personally, I’m loving every minute of GameCyte’s ongoing Grand Theft Auto IV controversy coverage, but for those of you who would rather actually play the game, IGN has come up with the ultimate cheat device — a full Google Maps mashup of Liberty City.

Now, instead of having to spend precious minutes fiddling with an accordion fold every time you want to hot-rod an unsuspecting officer’s automobile, simply choose Police Stations as a Point of Interest, and voila, the boys in blue are ripe for the pickin’. But why stop at Rockstar-approved landmarks? It’s fully editable, so every time you find an easter egg, hidden package or even just a nifty spot to let Niko catch forty winks, you can share that with the rest of the GTA community.
Wake us up when IGN implements Driving Directions and Satellite View.
Thanks to Kotaku for the find.
