Have you always wanted to pretend to be Richard Dean Anderson pretending to be Kurt Russell? Haven’t we all? Firesky is taking sign-ups to participate in the closed beta test of Stargate Worlds, an in-production MMORPG centered around jumping through watery holes, threatening primitive screwheads with your boomstick, and wondering why there hasn’t been anymore full frontal nudity since the first episode.
You know the drill, beta players. Sign up now, and if you’re lucky, you’ll be invited to play during the spring and/or summer. Stargate Worlds is scheduled to launch in Winter of 2008, but we know how that goes with MMOs. Signing up for the closed beta now could get you some free behind-the-scenes NDA playtime for a good long while. The game promises quite a lot:
Testers will be the first to step through the Stargate for a super-sized sci-fi adventure that will send gamers around a galaxy dipped in liquid awesome. Discover thriving alien worlds, explore ancient civilizations. and tell them all the things they are doing wrong. Smack a clip into your assault rifle and enter Stargate Worlds.
Liquid awesome. You can sign up here and tell us if the awesome is really liquid, or if Firesky is trying to foist off some sort of sub-par awesome gas on us.
