Anything Guitar Hero III can do, Rock Band can do better? This week’s Rock Band DLC includes an all-new single from Motley Crüe, “Saints of Los Angeles,” making its debut inside a video game.
Following last week’s news that Def Leppard would be making an all-new song available through GH3 before the album was even out, Motley Crüe’s new song in Rock Band is from their first new studio album in over ten years that features the band’s original lineup. Harmonix waited until just before the release to deliver the news, so that Motley Crüe could follow up with a nice little bonus: The band is going on tour to celebrate the new album.
Want to check out the nüe Crüe song from Rock Band? MTV is partnering with the band to bring the game on the tour, so fans in each city can play it at the venue. Perhaps that will give the game the publicity it so very clearly still needs right now.
Don’t worry, Activision. I’m sure Guitar Hero: Aerosmith will be cool too. Really, it’ll be great. Please stop crying.
