We’re starting the day off right here at GameCyte, reporting that Strong Bad himself is coming to WiiWare. This is going to be the awesomest game announcement all day–I don’t see how anything can top it. Strong Bad and the rest of the Homestar Runner cast–check. Coming to WiiWare as episodic content–check. Developed by Telltale Games, the company which has made episodic gaming actually work–check. Arriving in June, which is only like two months away–check.
This is fantastic news. To those of you scratching your head and wondering why I’m so damn excited, perhaps you doubt this venture can succeed. Perhaps you feel Homestar Runner is far too niche, or that its popularity has waned since its early 2000s splashdown. To you, I say, that’s what they said about Sam & Max.
